What we do
Turbocharger is a device which increases general power of the engine, that is why majority of modern vehicles is equipped with it. The engines endowed with a turbine are more efficient than the engines without it, owing to the fact that they use fuel more productively and allow to increase the power without increasing the rate of rotation of the engine.
The signals which may prove wrong turbocharger work:
The most important thing while exchanging a turbocharger is the diagnosis of the cause of the defect of the last turbine. If we do not state why the old turbocharger has been damaged, the failure may occur in the new unit and you will lose time and money.
Next, it is important to verify the oil pressure and the patency of the oil pipeline which bring the oil in and out of the turbocharger. It is better to change the pipelines into new ones.
The next activity is to check and clean the whole air intake and exhaust system of turbocharger. At the same time it is advised to check and clean the exhaust gas recirculation valve EGR, and also the one of restrictor and flowmeter controller.
We estimate visually if the turbocharger has no mechanical damages and if the compression wheel/rotor rotates without any difficulty.
During the assembly of regenerated/new turbocharger it is important to draw attention to the full airtightness of all the connections and also change the gaskets.
The last phase is to ensure that the new turbocharger has enough amount of lubricating oil. It is good to flood the turbocharger with clean, fresh oil before connecting the lubricating pipe.
For the proper functioning of a turbine it is necessary to lubricate and cool with oil. A few seconds should pass before the pomp sends the oil to the rotator.
Oil must be clean and of a good quality as the damages of the speeding vane of the turbocharger may be caused even by a small grain of sand or metal.
Switch off low rotation During driving low rotation may cause the accumulation of deposit which causes that the exhaust vanes work in a limited range. . Such a situation may cause vanes jam.
After finishing driving do not switch off the engine immediately – the turbocharger must slow down and stop. What is more the oil which stops in heated turbocharger is overheated, gets thicker and may cause the decrease patency of the oil pipes.
